Description

Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park (LTCP), is a body of scientific research, education, business and culture. Founded in the industrial complex of the old French Mining Company of Lavrion  in 1992, as a result of the initiative undertaken from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

LTCP aims at linking scientific and technological research with the needs and interests of the business world, and also to the realization of cultural events related to the promotion of the history and culture of the area. The LTCP area is a unique monument of industrial architecture and archeology.

Today, LTCP  specializes in key-areas of modern applied technology, such as satellite telecommunications, materials, nanotechnology, engineering, environmental technology, energy.

Moreover LTCP participates in the implementation of several National and European projects within the frame of various initiatives.

Activities in the project

LTCP is one of the partners of the project and participates in almost all the planned activities and actions. Together with the other two Greek partners, BIC of Attica and Region of Attica, are elaborating the thematic field of Serious Games and Edutainment in general. LTCP is actively participating in the Pilot Project aiming to promote the thematic field of Serious Games and Edutainment. More specifically LTCP co-organizes laboratories and workshops and participates in the deep research and analysis of the prospects of the Serious Games. Moreover according to the project's schedule, the Congress and  the Knowledge Fair will be held in LTCP premises.
